 Audit Armies Crowned Champions in MGA Foundation’s Indoor Cricket Tournament






Mumbai: The MGA Foundation, with the recognition of the Mumbai Indoor Cricket Sports Association and the MahaIndoor Cricket Association, successfully organized a grand Indoor Cricket Tournament at Goregaon (West), Mumbai. The event also marked the conclusion of the second edition of the Tax Premier League (TPL 2.0), hosted by MGA Group—a leading professional consultancy firm.


This one-of-a-kind tournament brought together experts from the fields of taxation, finance, and law. It offered a perfect blend of high-octane cricket and professional networking. Participants from reputed firms across the country took part enthusiastically, showcasing teamwork, coordination, and camaraderie on the field. The tournament also underlined the significance of collaboration and communication in the professional realm.


Final Match Recap: In a thrilling final, Audit Armies triumphed over Return Makers with a 12-run win, posting a score of 89-77. Winning the toss, Audit Armies elected to bat first and capitalized on the decision with a strong total. 


The first pair, Krishna Samantra (19 runs, 1 six) and Swapnil Shinde (8 runs), scored 27 runs in 2 overs; The second pair, Sachin Kumbhar (9 runs) and Navin Somani (15 runs), added 25 runs; The third pair, Mohit Kumar (14 runs, 1 six) and Divyanshu Patodia (10 runs), added 14 runs, despite each being dismissed once, leading to a deduction of 10 runs; The final pair, Shivendra Dwivedi (10 runs) and Vinay Dalmia (18 runs minus 1 dismissal = 13), contributed a crucial 23 runs to take the team to a competitive total of 89.


In reply, Return Makers gave a spirited fight: The opening pair, Gaurav Agarwal (6 runs after 1 dismissal) and Suresh Nair (17 runs, 1 six), scored 23 runs; The second pair, Hiten Rughani (11 runs) and Sanskar Shukla (-6 runs after 3 dismissals), struggled and managed only 5 runs; The third pair, Chintan Naik (17 runs, 1 six, 2 wickets) and Parimal Vashi (12 runs), revived the chase with 29 runs; The final pair, Gaurav Rattan (-2 runs after 2 dismissals) and Sudhir Gupta (22 runs, 2 sixes), added 20 runs—but it wasn’t enough as Return Makers fell short by 12 runs.


Grand Prize Distribution Ceremony:

The closing ceremony was held with great fanfare, graced by prominent guests including: Manish Agrawal and Sneha Patil, Co-founders of MGA Group, Kshitij Vedak, Founder-Chairman, MahaIndoor (Maharashtra) Cricket Association, Balasaheb Toraskar, Founder-Secretary, MahaIndoor (Maharashtra) Cricket Association. Speaking at the event, Agrawal and Patil shared, “TPL 2.0 was more than just an Indoor cricket tournament—it was a celebration of skills, sportsmanship, and the spirit of the compliance community.
